Design and Landscaping

With the emphasis on looking after our plants and customers, the time we have to spend on landscape projects is limited. However we do provide several levels of service:

1. Most customers are happy to visit the nursery to discuss their needs. Here we will talk them through which plants will best suit them and their garden. We are also happy to provide guidance on planting and after care. Digital photos and plans can be of great benefit on these occasions. These customers tend to benefit from the sense of achievement in actually carrying out the work themselves, but gain extra confidence from knowing that we are there to guide them.
   
   
2. As a second stage customers may want us to visit their gardens to help them develop their own ideas. For this service we have to make a nominal charge to cover our expenses. Normally a verbal discussion will suffice with guidance on:
   • Overall layout
   • Selection of plants
   • Recommendations of trades persons (including landscapers) who we trust to carryout a satisfactory level of work.
   • Guidance on planting, pruning and aftercare
   Sometimes clients require us to provide them with detailed planting plans. This can be a time consuming exercise and consequently we must charge for this. (In some instances this charge may be redeemable against receiving an order for plants)
   
   
3. At certain times of the year we can get away from our duties at the nursery and carry out landscape projects for clients. We are sorry that this service is limited to quieter times at the nursery. But please ask, because if we are not available ourselves we will be happy to recommend others who we know will do a good job.
