Ornamental Trees

We have been selling trees at Bennybeg for nearly 14 years and they are one of our specialities. We stock a large range of varieties, typically in 7L, 10L or 12L containers. Bare root deciduous trees are available from November to March, during the dormant season.

Our trees are 100% British Grown and we are very confident that they are some of the best quality on offer. It’s very satisfying when customers come in and tell us how well their trees are growing!

We’ve selected the most popular trees to offer on our website, but many other varieties are also available, so please do not hesitate to contact us by telephone or email to find out the full range on offer.

If you would like to visit Bennybeg Plant Centre to choose a tree from our stock, or see the quality of the trees that we offer, we are open seven days a week. Please refer to the opening times below and directions on the Contact Us page.

Notes

Bare root trees are supplied during their dormant season (usually from mid-November to the end of March depending on the weather). It is recommended that bare root trees are planted within a day or two of arrival but they may be stored for longer in a cool place or 'heeled' in to a mound or pot of compost until you are ready for planting. Don't allow the roots to dry out or freeze - wrap in hessian or other insulating material if necessary.  Soak the roots before planting and water in well.

AGM - The Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit (AGM) helps home gardeners make informed choices about plants. It is only awarded to a plant that meets the following criteria:

  • Outstanding excellence for ordinary garden decoration or use
  • Good constitution
  • Does not require highly specialist growing conditions or care
  • Not particularly susceptible to any pest or disease
